Creating a PHP file by using PHP

Creating a PHP file by using PHP, the concept is the same as creating a text file except you have to enclose the code you want to be in your created page.

An example for creating a PHP info page:

create.php

$contents = "<?php
phpinfo();";

$fp = fopen('info.php', 'w');
fwrite($fp, $contents);
fclose($fp);

This will create info.php containing:

<?php
phpinfo();

That shows the PHP information.

$content = '<?php
echo $_GET['name'];';

Will display the parameter for name, eg ?name=gary will print gary on the page. Note how the code is stated without being active; it isn’t done like:

$content = "<?php
echo $_GET['name'];";
