You may be aware that YouTube was made sluggish when viewing in Firefox as per here and here.

From my past experience and annoyance Google Maps, more specifically Google Maps satellite really crawls. Its slow takes forever to render in and when it does it looks so much different to the Google Chrome version. See this video:

It goes into some sort of polygon mode then sits there until finally it will load in satellite mode properly. As soon as i switched to Chrome and pasted in the link, Bam satellite maps straight away. Odd isn’t it!?

Either Google Maps is more optimized/made to run on Chrome or Google is sneakily making Firefox users ditch the browser and move across to Chrome.

Knowing Google and their decision-making this inconvenience would cause them great pleasure.
