A method to easily and quickly find what php.ini configuration file is loaded and in use.
The php.ini file holds all of the configuration values for your PHP installation. It is important to know where it is and which is the loaded php.ini file.
Running the following will give you a list of all the ini files related to your PHP installation:
php --ini
Now look for the loaded configuration file value
Loaded Configuration File: /etc/php/7.4/cli/php.ini
This is the location for your php.ini file to edit.
A short cut for this is:
php -i | grep 'Configuration File'
Which will return the php.ini file location in a precise manner.
root@aus:~# php -i | grep 'Configuration File' Configuration File (php.ini) Path => /etc/php/7.4/cli Loaded Configuration File => /etc/php/7.4/cli/php.ini
