Url or the address to your webpage is very important in a SEO point of view. Lets look at the following URL’s to a page about: Training border collie puppies

From the 6 examples above which is preferred for SEO?

Again SEO is much about readability and simplicity then technicalities so 4-6 are fine for URL’s but…… The date in the URL is something no longer required simply because if you update the page the link will either be wrong or if you change it websites using the original link will no longer link to your content.
