Setting your timezone for your PHP server

Having the right timezone on your web server can be crucial to ensure cron jobs, tasks and time related conversions are done right. To change and set your PHP timezone navigate to your php.ini file in your file manager. Either add or change date.timezone = "Australia/Melbourne" to your chosen timezone. The timezones can be found here. Save your file.

To check that the timezone change worked, make a simple php file and add phpinfo();

Navigate to this page and it will list the timezone currently being used.
