Truth or dare app; free 3 day trial and then $122 per week

Goodness me, if this isn’t sneaky behaviour then nothing else is.. the app Truth or Dare Dirty HouseParty is free to download and offers a free 3 day trial but then after 3 days it will charge you $122 for a weeks subscription if you don’t cancel it.

Now that is how you catch users out and rip them off big time! From the image above you can also see that this ‘extreme mode’ still has ads, you need to ‘purchase’ the next level to remove ads.

No doubt kids using their parents account will be the main victims of this unethical practise. Sure Apple will refund in most cases but it’s not the point, situations like this have to make you angry. Its blatant sneaky tactics, no one in their right mind would pay that much for that app.

there will always be people or business’s going about things the wrong way.

In cases like this you have to understand how apps like these seem to get away with doing naughty things. No doubt in my mind there would be many many similar apps running sneaky tactics to make easy money and unless they are getting reported by a solid amount of people Apple will not know. I hope.

Its situations like this that are a daily reminder to be wary of your auto renewing subscriptions and avoid where possible. Because there will always be people or business’s going about things the wrong way.
